Resumo:In this article we discuss the use of digital surveillance technologies during the Covid19 pandemic. A critique is made and the democratic possibilities are investigated. The use of surveillance technologies is a characteristic of contemporary societies. Among the uses, surveillance on individuals. Both the approach that technologies – as productive forces – are neutral, and those that consider them essentially positive or perverse are questioned. There is emphasis on humanistic criticism, which subordinates the use of technologies to human dignity. Deliberative politics is indicated as a way of composing freedom and community interests.
