Based on prerogatives signed between the Holy See and the Spanish Crown, Felipe II made religion a determining element of his policy for overseas possessions. We will examine how the monarch interfered in the execution of the evangelizing project of the viceroyalties, having in the bulls, declarations and correspondence our sources of analysis that will be analyzed through the bibliography that we will surround ourselves with for the development of the proposal. Neste artigo buscaremos apresentar como Felipe II realizou uma série de intervenções em assuntos referentes à esfera eclesiástica em seus vice-reinos, de forma especial o vice-reino do Peru. Embasado em prerrogativas firmadas entre a Santa Sé e a Coroa espanhola, Felipe II fez da religião um elemento determinante de sua política para as possessões no Ultramar. Examinaremos como o monarca interferiu na execução do projeto evangelizador dos vice-reinados, tendo nas bulas, declarações e correspondências as nossas fontes de análise que serão analisadas à luz da bibliografia da qual nos cercaremos para o desenrolar da proposta.
