| Resumo: | In this article, we will seek to present how Felipe II carried out a series of interventions in matters related to the ecclesiastical sphere in his viceroyalties, especially the viceroyalty of Peru. Based on prerogatives signed between the Holy See and the Spanish Crown, Felipe II made religion a determining element of his policy for overseas possessions. We will examine how the monarch interfered in the execution of the evangelizing project of the viceroyalties, having in the bulls, declarations and correspondence our sources of analysis that will be analyzed through the bibliography that we will surround ourselves with for the development of the proposal. |
