Resumo:Due to the increase in the number of drugs used in therapy, it is of great importance to know and understand beneficial and undesirable interactions of drugs among themselves and with other types of medications, so that the patient has adequate treatment.  The article based on bibliographic studies aims to evaluate potential drug interactions and adverse reactions in drugs used in cardiology. The type of methodology used in this study was a systematic review, where an online search was conducted in databases, through bibliographic survey. With the study, it was possible to analyze the presence of harmful drug interactions that interfere with the desired objective of therapy. It was concluded that the knowledge of the main pharmacological characteristics of the interactions contributes to their clinical management and the prevention of adverse events becomes fundamental. Some combinations of medications require greater monitoring, others require dose adjustment, and in some cases, specific combinations are contra indicated in therapy.
