Resumo:This article aims to bring a brief analysis of what is the Specialized Reference Center for the Homeless Population - CENTRO POP and the social stigmas cast on this population. This article sought to analyze the relationship of homeless people and health, considering the expanded concept of health, its determining and conditioning factors that are reaffirmed in legal frameworks. As a result, the research took place in the CENTRO POP of the city of Bayeux-PB, which is a mechanism of social protection of medium complexity offered by the Social Assistance Policy (PAS) with the objective of historicizing and relating the actions of the Health Policy and the Social Assistance Policy and highlighting in a critical way the difficulties faced by those who use the streets as a place to survive. As methodology was used the bibliographical research, supported by the qualitative approach.
