Resumo: | The present study aims to carry out an analysis of social and health vulnerabilities and risk factors related to STIs among adolescents. This is an integrative literature review carried out through the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and PUBMED of the National Library of Medicine, between September and October 2022, using the descriptors (DeCS/MeSH): Vulnerability in Health, Health Vulnerability, Adolescent, Adolescent, Sexually Transmitted Infections, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Social Determinants of Health and Social Determinants of Health. Publications in Portuguese, English and Spanish were included, available in full, published between 2018 and 2022, aiming to find relevant and updated references, book chapters, abstracts, incomplete texts, technical reports and other forms of publication other than scientific articles are excluded. A total of 655 studies were identified and, after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria and analyzing the studies, only 12 articles made up the final analysis. Studies show that vulnerability comprises individual, social and programmatic dimensions. When evaluating young people's behaviors, attitudes and practices in the face of STIs, we seek to know the variables that interfere in this process and how individuals add this information in their lives. There is a need to expand and strengthen STI prevention actions among adolescents within schools, as proposed by the School Health Program, involving students, teachers, family and the community in general. |
