Resumo: | This article discusses the "40 hours of Angicos" project, developed by educator Paulo Freire in the 1960s, in the countryside of Rio Grande do Norte. We analyzed four photographs that refer to the aforementioned project and that preserve the memory of this important fact in the history of education in Brazil. This is a qualitative research with the use of photographic images made available in 3 internet sites. Photography is discussed based on the studies of Kossoy (2001), Mauad (2008) and Ciavatta (2012). The importance of photographs as a way of keeping memory was verified and it is highlighted the fact that these documents are full of senses and meanings that need to be questioned and interpreted considering the context and the reason of its production and propagation. |
