Breast cancer is considered one of the biggest causes of death in the world, it needs treatments from a multidisciplinary team for a more complex and complete care due to changes in lifestyle and breaks with everyday life. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for supervising any person in the rescue of the roles and daily tasks. This study aimed to analyze the perception of the multidisciplinary team about the intervention of Occupational Therapy in the patient with breast cancer. This was a field study of a quantitative approach carried out with 15 health professionals who are part of the multidisciplinary team of attention to mastectomized patients of a Hospital of reference in Oncology in the city of Teresina-PI. Datas were collected through a structured questionnaire, elaborated by a researcher, which included professional socio-demographic data and questions about the perception of these on the performance of occupational therapy in cancer patients. The data analysis showed that the team was consisted of physicians, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, with 80% of female professionals and 53% nursing technicians; of the sample studied (87%) answered to know what Occupational Therapy was, but 60% did not know the intervention of these professionals with mastectomized patients. The majority (87%) of participants considered resolution of occupational therapy intervention. All the professionals considered important the occupational therapy assistance with the team in the treatment of breast cancer, but also the majority, did not know this action with these patients, highlighting the answer of the medical professional. |

El cáncer de mama es considerado una de las mayores causas de muerte en el mundo, necesita tratamientos de un equipo multidisciplinario para una atención más compleja y completa debido a los cambios en el estilo de vida y rupturas con la cotidianidad. El Terapeuta Ocupacional es el encargado de supervisar a cualquier persona en el rescate de los roles y tareas diarias. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar la percepción del equipo multidisciplinario sobre la intervención de Terapia Ocupacional en la paciente con cáncer de mama. Este fue un estudio de campo de abordaje cuantitativo realizado con 15 profesionales de la salud que forman parte del equipo multidisciplinario de atención a pacientes mastectomizados de un Hospital de referencia en Oncología en la ciudad de Teresina-PI. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de un cuestionario estructurado, elaborado por una investigadora, que incluía datos sociodemográficos profesionales y preguntas sobre la percepción de estos sobre el desempeño de la terapia ocupacional en pacientes oncológicos. El análisis de los datos mostró que el equipo estaba compuesto por médicos, enfermeros, fisioterapeutas y terapeutas ocupacionales, con 80% de mujeres profesionales y 53% de técnicos de enfermería; de la muestra estudiada (87%) respondió saber qué es la Terapia Ocupacional, pero el 60% no conocía la intervención de estos profesionales con pacientes mastectomizadas. La mayoría (87%) de los participantes consideró la resolución de la intervención de terapia ocupacional. Todos los profesionales consideraron importante la asistencia de terapia ocupacional con el equipo en el tratamiento del cáncer de mama, pero también la mayoría, desconocía esta actuación con estas pacientes, destacando la respuesta del profesional médico. Considerado uma das maiores causas de morte no mundo, o câncer de mama necessita de tratamentos de uma equipe multidisciplinar para uma assistência mais complexa e completa, devido às mudanças no estilo de vida e rupturas com o cotidiano. O Terapeuta Ocupacional é responsável por auxiliar o indivíduo no resgate dos papéis e fazeres do cotidiano. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar a percepção da equipe multidisciplinar sobre a intervenção da Terapia Ocupacional no paciente com câncer de mama. Tratou-se de um estudo de campo de abordagem quantitativa realizada com 15 profissionais da área da saúde que integram a equipe multidisciplinar de atenção a pacientes mastectomizadas de um Hospital de referência em Oncologia na cidade de Teresina-PI. Os dados foram coletados através de um questionário estruturado, elaborado pelo pesquisador, onde constavam dados sócio-demográfico profissional e um questionário com questões acerca da percepção desses sobre a atuação da terapia ocupacional em pacientes oncológicos. A análise dos dados demonstram que a equipe era formada por médico, enfermeiros, fisioterapeutas e terapeutas ocupacionais, sendo 80% dos profissionaisdo sexo feminino e atuavam como técnicos de enfermagem (53%); da amostra estudada (87%) respondeu saber o que era Terapia Ocupacional mas, 60% não conheciam a intervenção desses profissionais com pacientes mastectomizadas. A maioria (87%) dos participantes consideraram resolutiva a intervenção da terapia ocupacional. Todos os profissionais consideraram importante a assistência terapêutica ocupacional junto a equipe no tratamento do câncer de mama, mas também a maioria, não conhecia essa atuação com essas pacientes, destacando-se a resposta do profissional médico.
