For this study, we chose to develop a thematic-categorical data analysis of Bardin. The results suggest that students built new meanings about emergency remote teaching, based on fruitful learning experiences associated with empathic and horizontal teaching practices and based on technical and theoretical knowledge about teaching through technologies. Data analysis indicated that it is important for students to be open to new experiences, sharing their impressions and truly taking responsibility for their learning process. From the development of the discipline of Learning Assessment, students were also able to expand their ways of thinking about assessment, establishing relationships with political, human, pedagogical and technical dimensions. Este texto apresenta reflexões sobre os sentidos de aprender e avaliar que foram construídos por estudantes de vários cursos de licenciatura no contexto de Ensino Remoto Emergencial, na disciplina de Avaliação da Aprendizagem na Universidade Federal de Pernambuco no ano de 2021. Para esse estudo, optou-se por uma análise de dados temático-categorial de Bardin. Os resultados sugerem que os alunos construíram novos significados em torno do Ensino Remoto Emergencial, a partir de experiências proveitosas de aprendizagens associadas a práticas docentes empáticas e horizontais e baseadas em conhecimentos técnicos e teóricos sobre o ensinar por meio de tecnologias. As análises dos dados indicaram que é importante que os alunos estejam abertos a vivenciar novas experiências, partilhar suas impressões e assumir verdadeiramente responsabilidades sobre o seu processo de aprendizagem. A partir do desenvolvimento da disciplina de Avaliação da Aprendizagem, os estudantes também puderam ampliar suas formas de pensar sobre avaliação, estabelecendo relações com as dimensões políticas, humanas, pedagógicas e técnicas.
