Instead, it is here proposed to think in a more complex way, historically, the artistic tradition of Tucumán, in which survival (Nachleben) is a recurrent symptom in culture, while spontaneous artistic montage reveals once and again a way of constructing history through intervals. Este artigo tem por objetivo refletir sobre as singularidades da produção artística contemporânea de Tucumán, província situada no noroeste da Argentina, a partir da noção warburguiana de cultura como contaminação. Na medida em que essa produção esteve marcada por uma forte relação entre imaginário do artista e a geografia andina, buscaremos propor a noção de imagens-pedra como forma de questionar a concepção de identidad tucumana m favor de um modo mais complexo de pensar, historicamente, a tradição artística de Tucumán; um modo fortemente marcado pela sobrevivência (Nachleben), o que nos permite pensá-la sob a perspectiva das noções warburguianas de obra de arte como sintomatologia da cultura e da montagem e como modo de construção de uma história dos intervalos.
