Resumo:Objective: Analyze the physical therapy approach in rehabilitation in patients with stroke Methodology: This is an integrative review of the literature through the search for articles in the databases of Scielo, Medline, Lilacs and Bireme. We found 1,318 articles in the databases surveyed, of these five were included to make up the discussion as inclusion criteria, we used scientific articles that address therapeutic activities in the treatment of stroke patients, published in the last ten years and presenting a good research methodology. In the exclusion criterion were articles that ran away from the theme or articles published outside the last ten years, and that were not available electronically. Results and Discussions: The studies showed that physiotherapy techniques are very important and that, through physical activity, they contribute to the non-complications of recovery and improve quality of life. Final considerations: Physiotherapeustherapeutic approach contributes to functional gain and improvement of the quality of life of affected patients, evidencing ago importance of the presence of the physiotherapist in the multidisciplinary team.
