Resumo:This article deals with academic productions on the theme of migration and refuge within the scope of Brazilian Early Childhood Education, published between 1988 and 2021. As a methodological route, we organize the following procedures/steps: i) definition of information for search data; ii) data collection; iii) systematization and analysis. 32 productions were located that showed five recurring themes: a) families and children; b) the mother tongue and the host language; c) the education professionals; d) educational institutions: reception, practices and situations of racism and xenofobia; e) the right to education and educational policies. We observed that in the last four years (2018-2021) there has been an increase in the number of researches involving the proposed thematic cut. The data indicate the need for more research that considers Early Childhood Education and children aged 0-5 migrants and refugees mainly in contexts that received a large number of children from internalization actions such as “Operação Acolhida”.
