Resumo:The objective of this study was to describe the infocommunicational products on medicines issued by CIMUFS-LAG as part of the proactive information service during the period between March 2020 and February 2022, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a descriptive, observational, qualitative-quantitative, cross-sectional, and retrospective study carried out through the analysis of documents regarding the proactive information issued by CIMUFS-LAG during the COVID-19 pandemic. Different informative materials were made available, among these 38.5% (n=15) were technical notes, followed by compiled information for health education (25.6%; n=10), bulletins 17, 9% (n=7) and medication alerts 15.4% (n=6). Infodemic and the lack of understanding of the information accentuated the inappropriate and unsafe use of medicines. Considering information as an essential tool for the protection, promotion, and recovery of health, as well as for the prevention of injuries and diseases, in parallel with the COVID-19 pandemic and the infodemic, being noted how information centers and services make it possible to expand the understanding of therapeutic interventions based on scientific evidence, strengthening health care. Furthermore, it is worth noting the potential of this type of service in terms of health education based on access to information, co-responsibility for care, and conscious action in collective and individual decisions.
