Based on this, this work aims to present the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism of nature in the Aspirante Geopark Seridó. To this, we show the specific objectives: - to list municipalities and attractions of the geopark; present the profile and performance of tour guides and local conductors that work on the park during the pandemic; - show challenges and future perspectives for conductors and tour guides when referring to the Aspirante Geopark Seridó. The methodology used the application of a digital form, office research and interview through connections with tour guides and local conductors who work in the Geopark. From then on, it was identified that despite the pandemic, local guides and conductors continued to receive groups of tourists, even if in smaller groups. It was also noticed the implementation of security protocols, but that were sometimes disrespected by tourists. Future challenges are also highlighted, such as load capacity studies with the flexibilization of isolation, greater training and involvement of the various actors in decision-making on how tourism in the region, such as in the Aspirante Geopark Seridó.

El virus COVID-19 surgió en 2019 y pronto se convirtió en una pandemia mundial, impactando varios sectores de la economía, con énfasis en el turismo. Este segmento fue alcanzado de una manera sin precedentes en los grandes centros de visitacíon, como en pequeños pueblos y regiones más aisladas. En base a ello, este trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar los impactos de la pandemia del COVID-19 en el turismo de naturaleza en el Geoparque Aspirante Seridó. Para ello, señala como objetivos específicos: - enumerar los municipios y atractivos que componen el geoparque; presentar el perfil y desempeño de los guías turísticos y conductores locales vinculados al parque durante la pandemia; - mostrar desafíos y perspectivas de futuro para conductores y guías turísticos al referirse al Geoparque Aspirante Seridó. La metodología del estudio fue la aplicación de un formulario digital, investigación de oficina y entrevista a través de conexiones con guías turísticos y conductores locales que laboran en el Geoparque. A partir de entonces, se identificó que, a pesar de la pandemia, los guías y conductores locales continuaron recibiendo grupos de turistas, aunque sea en grupos más reducidos. También se notó la implementación de protocolos de seguridad, pero que en ocasiones eran irrespetados por los turistas. También se destacan desafíos futuros, como estudios de capacidad de carga con la flexibilización del aislamiento, mayor capacitación e involucramiento de los diversos actores en la toma de decisiones sobre cómo debe darse el turismo en la región, como en el Geoparque Aspirante Seridó, a partir de entonces. Com o surgimento do vírus da COVID no ano de 2019, o que se seguiu foi uma pandemia global. E uma das principais estratégias para controlar o vírus foi o isolamento das pessoas, o qual causou impacto direto em diversos setores econômicos, principalmente no turismo. Esse segmento foi atingido de maneira inédita, e o maior impacto se viu nos centros turísticos, principalmente em cidades menores e/ou regiões mais isoladas. Portanto, esse trabalho tem como objetivo geral apresentar os impactos da pandemia do COVID-19 no Turismo de Natureza no Geoparque Aspirante Seridó. Para tanto, os objetivos específicos são: - elencar municípios e atrativos que compõem o Geoparque; apresentar o perfil e a atuação de guias de turismo e condutores locais ligados ao Geoparque durante a pandemia; - mostrar desafios e perspectivas de futuro de guias e condutores turísticos quando se referem ao Geoparque Aspirante Seridó. O estudo teve como metodologia a aplicação de formulário digital, pesquisa de gabinete e entrevista através de ligações com guias de turismo e condutores locais que atuam no Geoparque. A partir disso, identificou-se que, apesar da pandemia, os guias e condutores locais continuaram recebendo grupos de turistas, mesmo que em número reduzido. Foi notável, também, a implantação de protocolos de segurança, mas que eram, por vezes, desrespeitados pelos turistas. Por fim, destaca-se os desafios futuros nessa área como: estudos de capacidade de carga com a flexibilização do isolamento; maior capacitação e envolvimento dos profissionais nas decisões a respeito no turismo na região, assim como no Geoparque Aspirante Seridó, e como este deve se adaptar, entre outros assuntos que serão abordados a seguir.
