Resumo: | The following article is focused on an advance of the investigation¿Health Tourism? Uses of thermal waters in Paysandú (1957-1979). It aims to understand the notions in relation to health that supported the uses of these waters in this department from the late 1950s to the 1970s. The possibility of building a research object from Physical Education to think about the uses of thermalism as a form of education of the body. This work focuses on the study of the Guaviyú thermal center in the 1960s and is based on the documentary analysis of various sources such as local press, official documentation, hygiene manuals and periodicals of the period. |
