Resumo:This study aims to carry out a comparative analysis of innovation awards in public management in Brazil, identifying similarities and differences between the awards, with a view to disseminating innovative ideas. Thus, the methodology adopted is qualitative research, focusing on bibliographic and documentary research and the collection of secondary external data from federal and state government sources dealing with innovation awards. In addition, the latest public notice issued for each award for innovation in public management is used as a basis to compare similarities and diferences. The research results show that among the similarities identified in general are: the definition of objectives and the concern to highlight innovative practices in public management; all awards seek the appreciation and recognition of professionals who create and execute innovative ideas and among the differences are: differences in the way the awards are publicized; there is a different dimension in the definition of the target audience, since some awards only accept the servers of the state to which the award belongs; in the categories there is divergence in the definition of the specific quantities of participants; difference in incentives - four of them award cash and one of them awards a trophy, among others. Finally, the study concludes that the public management innovation awards have similarities that show the importance of implementing innovation strategies in public management and differences that can be analyzed and modified in order to adopt the best ideas to improve the awards.
