Resumo:The present paper aims to analyze the possibilities of History Teaching using digital resources, more specifically the "virtual maps" in order to work the Heritage Education from the "places of memory" of the civil-military dictatorship in the city of Recife. This research is the result of an end-of-course work, and it started to be developed in the beginning of 2020, based on the reflections provided by the accomplishment of the teaching internship in history, within the discipline of Supervised Internship IV. The project was carried out in a state public school located in the metropolitan region of Recife in Pernambuco -Brazil, in two classes in the third year of high school. The activities culminated in the construction of the virtual map: "Maps of memory: the civil-military dictatorship in the city of Recife", built by the students using the Google MyMaps tool. The study concluded the suitability of new digital technologies in the classroom context and in the pedagogical work with the historical heritage. In addition, the activities enabled the establishment of new relationships between the students and the urban space, giving new meaning to the places in the city they live in and that can be considered Historical Heritage linked to the memory and history of the dictatorship in the city of Recife.
