The course, inserted in the context of virtualization of Education, was designed to encourage students to reflect on the state of the art of care and on the concepts of active citizenship. When writing this experience report, based on the methodology of the case study, we will propose a descriptive and qualitative analysis of the diverse profile of students and professors, in addition to the contents taught and indications of complementary materials. Thus, it is possible to think of contributions of the referred action in the mitigation of some social problems. El objetivo de este trabajo es relatar la experiencia de operar un curso de extensión a distancia ofrecido por un proyecto vinculado a la Escuela de Servicio Social (ESS/UFRJ), que involucró a 75 alumnos, entre suscriptores y oyentes. El curso, insertado en el contexto de virtualización de la Educación, fue diseñado para incentivar a los estudiantes a reflexionar sobre el estado del arte del cuidado y sobre los conceptos de ciudadanía activa. Al redactar este informe de experiencia, con base en la metodología del estudio de caso, propondremos un análisis descriptivo y cualitativo del perfil diverso de estudiantes y profesores, además de los contenidos impartidos e indicaciones de materiales complementarios. Así, es posible pensar en contribuciones de la referida acción en la mitigación de algunos problemas sociales. O objetivo deste trabalho é relatar a experiência do funcionamento de um curso remoto de extensão ofertado por um projeto vinculado à Escola de Serviço Social (ESS/UFRJ), que envolveu 75 alunos, entre inscritos e ouvintes. O curso, inserido no contexto de virtualização da Educação, foi pensado para estimular que os educandos refletissem sobre o estado da arte do cuidado e sobre os conceitos próprios de uma cidadania ativa. Ao escrevermos esse relato de experiência, a partir da metodologia do estudo de caso, iremos propor a análise descritiva e qualitativa do perfil diversificado dos alunos e dos docentes, além dos conteúdos ministrados e das indicações de materiais complementares. Assim, é possível pensar em contribuições da referida ação na mitigação de algumas problemáticas sociais.
