They create, from the practice of the game, new forms of appropriation that go beyond the act of playing. This experience allows these players to stop being spectators and users and actively participate in the creation, expression and dissemination of dances and new digital content.   O objetivo deste estudo é descrever e analisar as apropriações que jogadores de Just Dance fazem do jogo e da dança. Para o alcance dos objetivos, foi utilizada as técnicas de observação, grupo focal (GF) e conversas espontâneas em um grupo de WhatsApp. Os dados do presente estudo trazem evidências de que os sujeitos que participaram dessa pesquisa extrapolam o que foi previsto e proposto inicialmente para o jogo. Criam, a partir da prática do jogo, novas formas de apropriação que vão para além do ato de jogar. Essa experiência possibilita que esses jogadores deixem de ser expectadores e usuários e passem a participar ativamente da criação e circulação de novos conteúdos digitais. Imersa na cultura digital, a dança é uma fonte de expressão que explora as possibilidades de movimento e dá vazão à criatividade em tempos que a tecnologia faz parte de nós.
