Resumo:The aim of this study is to understand and analyze the appropriations that Just Dance players make of the game and dance. To achieve the goals, observation techniques, focus groups and spontaneous group conversations on WhatsApp were used. The data from this study provide evidence that the subjects who participated in this research go beyond what was initially planned and proposed for the game. They create, from the practice of the game, new forms of appropriation that go beyond the act of playing. This experience allows these players to stop being spectators and users and actively participate in the creation, expression and dissemination of dances and new digital content.
