Resumo:This article deals with the analysis of the discursive production of the American rapper Azealia Banks on the internet, in particular, her media statements about other public persons, notably celebrities. We seek, in this way, to problematize her presence as an enunciator subject in social networks, especially her enunciations about other contemporary celebrities, with special attention to the marks of parrhesia in the words that the singer mobilizes about other subjects and addresses them to them, putting into play their world views and opinions, often reported by the international media as “controversial” statements; when, in fact, they are a specific category of speeches, namely, hate speech. To do so, we selected six journalistic articles from Brazilian news portals and analyzed the statements produced and broadcast in the media from the statements of the aforementioned artist, based on the theoretical-methodological assumptions of French Discourse Analysis and Michel Foucault's studies on discourses. , the courage of truth, parrhesia and the parrhesiast subject. In general terms, the results point to the fact that Banks' sayings produce, at the discursive level, a place of subject who places himself in a supremacist position and which are configured as hate speeches. Therefore, we observe that her discursive production brings her closer to a parrhesiast subject, even though her opinions express a series of prejudices of all kinds that should be fought, above all.
