Resumo: | The Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a non-invasive treatment to neurological pathologies, exiting or inhibiting the neuron. This method was introduced by Barker in 1985, and it is conquering more space. This revision article objective is to point out the positive and negative sides of the technique, focusing specially on the stimulator equipment and the role of the Electrical Engineering on the process. In the end, improvements and advances that the technology can bring to the technique are exposed with some topics that have been neglected and need deeper research. |
