Resumo: | The applications for the title of World Heritage in UNESCO, including a wealth of historical, cultural, architectural, geographical, and socioeconomic details provide opportunities to identify the processes of development of quality of life and/or exclusion of resident social groups. Research with complementary documentation and technical visits to localities allows to trace the development of patrimonialized urban areas contributing to a reflection of successes and mismatches in the actions of institutions of management and promotion of these spaces. Thus, the spatial section covers the case study of the historical center of Lima (Peru), recognized as a world heritage site in 1991 by UNESCO. |
