Resumo:Indexing, which is one of the information organization activities, represents the syllabus of the document, turning its recovery possible throughout the research by the syllabus. Nevertheless, the literary-aesthetics objects are not commonly indexed by the syllabus, the lack of tools that support the professional in the technical reading of these works is one of the causes. For that reason, this research proposes the Guidelines for Indexing Literary-aesthetics Works, which was called DIEL due to their initials in Portuguese. Considering that, the goals of this article are: to discuss the quality of the indexings, concerning literary-aesthetics works and to demonstrate how the dialogic route reading enriches the representation, besides being related to the professional reality. In order to do that, the DIEL was applied in two national works: "The Hour of the Star" and "Brilliant Parents – Fascinating Teachers". Afterwards, these indexing results are compared to the indexing results available by the online catalogs of five national institutions: the Pergamum of Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), the Athena of Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), the Base Acervus of Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp), the Dedalus of Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and the Sophia of Fundação Biblioteca Nacional (BN). As the main results, it was presented the difference in the quantity of the attributed syllabus to these works; and the qualitative and quantitative disparity, due to the adoption of a dialogic route, between the indexings. This work has an exploratory, descriptive, and qualitative methodology, and adopted bibliographic and documental research.
