Based on semi-structured inteviews, this article brings conversations with women in the form Discourse of Collective Subject, a data analysis technique that seeks to understand how individual representations reflect collective representations, gathered in order to express what the collectivity thinks. Reproduced in the speeches of social actors by their aggregations and categorization, the tool enables the understanding of the investigated reality, understanding social practices as a social game where collective representations reveal each person’s ways of acting and thinking. Thus, it was possible to conclue that the dominant gender discourses act in power relations and composse the elements that legitimize and naturalize gender violence.  A partir da realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas com mulheres em situação de violência de gênero na cidade de Apodi/RN, este artigo traz conversas com mulheres na forma de Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo, técnica de análise de dados que busca compreender como as representações individuais refletem as representações coletivas, reunidas de modo a expressar o que pensa a coletividade. Reproduzidas nas falas dos atores sociais pela sua agregação e categorização a ferramenta possibilita o entendimento da realidade investigada, compreendendo as práticas sociais como um jogo social, no qual as representações coletivas revelam as maneiras de agir e de pensar de cada pessoa. Assim, foi possível concluir que os discursos dominantes de gênero atuam nas relações de poder e compõem os elementos que legitimam e naturalizam a violência de gênero.
