Resumo:This case study intends to show the transformation of the audiovisual entertainment division and the evolution of the largest media and communication conglomerate in Latin America, Grupo Globo, into innovations of consumer habits. Attempting to increase its competitiveness and adapt to the new scenario that manifests nowadays, the group launched its streaming platform, Globoplay, which, in addition to expanding its products, innovates in its content diversity. Therefore, the study objective is to supply a discussion and knowledge about main concepts in administration and accounting areas, along with expanding the understanding about the analysis of technological advances, which are sharply fast. Through research in secondary databases, this case presents the company, its new product, the sector in which it operates, and its main competitors. It also provides a theoretical basis for the issues’ application presented, contributing to the practical learning of the theory demonstrated, in addition to fostering managerial practice.
