Resumo: | This article seeks to reflect on the trajectory of social policy in the context of Covid-19's crisis and pandemic, starting from the understanding and relationship established between capitalism, social policy and neoliberalism, seeking to apprehend dimensions of social life together with the mode of production and capitalist reproduction that makes the human person precarious, requiring a concrete critique of concrete reality. This is a descriptive-exploratory bibliographic review on the subject, based on analysis, categories that express economic, political, social, cultural, class, race and gender elements, in the light of a critical perspective; which allows us to understand the social reality, the transformations experienced in society and the current devastation scenario of social policies under the neoliberal aegis, by shaping a framework that expresses an exponential increase in poverty and expropriations of rights that fall more brutally on the poorest segments of society. The crisis has a structural character with harmful consequences to social rights, since the State essentially seeks to strengthen capital and market interests. This scenario directly affects workers and their families as a result of the precariousness of living conditions, work relations and the dismantling of social policies, which is even worse in a pandemic period as seen at the present time. |
