It starts with a bibliographical review completed by documents from the time to defend the hypothesis that during the events of 2013 two political fields – one represented by the forces allied to the PT government of Dilma Rousseff; the other by the conservative opposition led bythe media constituted in a party under Gramscian terms – they disputed the meanings of the demonstrations, generating a political impasse that culminated in the temporary abandonment of the streets by the main political forces in the country. O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar os marcos ideológicos das disputas hegemônicas que envolvem os protestos de junho de 2013, tendo como agentes analisados os grupos sociais que disputaram sua orientação política. Parte-se de uma revisão bibliográfica completada por documentos da época para defender a hipótese de que durante os eventos de 2013 dois campos políticos – um representado pelas forças aliadas ao governo petista de Dilma Rousseff; outro pela oposição conservadora capitaneada pela mídia constituída em partido nos termos gramscianos – disputaram os sentidos das manifestações, gerando um impasse político que culminou no abandono temporário das ruas pelas principais forças políticas do país.
