Resumo: | This paper approaches the teaching of History in rural schools of Ituiutaba-MG, Brazil. It aims to analyze teaching History in the final years of elementary school. A qualitative research was chosen because it favors a broad view of the studied object and the researcher's involvement with the social, political, economic and cultural reality as well. Participant observation and oral interviews were used. The research subjects were the teachers who taught History in rural schools from 2018 to 2019. The results show there are multiple dimensions of teaching History, revealed in different ways in the teachers' practices.
