The main objective of this work was to analyze the main actions carried out and the difficulties encountered in the applicability of public tourism policies at the regional level; having as specific objectives: a) to raise the profile of the different actors that make up the public arenas that discuss tourism; and b) to investigate the mechanisms of participation of the actors in the decision-making processes and their roles in the tourism production chain. The methodological procedures used were bibliographic as well as documentary research, having an exploratory / descriptive character. The research adopted the qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews as instruments of data collection. With that it was possible to conclude that the constitution of the instance of governance in tourism, has enabled new discussions about the management and planning of tourism in the Seridó Potiguar region, as well as, the applicability of public tourism policies in the aforementioned region. It was also observed that there are difficulties that compromise the increase in tourism in the region, as well as that the actions developed by the governance body of Polo Seridó are still punctual, a factor that interferes in the socio-spatial dynamics and in the tourism development of the region. |

El objetivo principal de este trabajo fue analizar las principales acciones realizadas y las dificultades encontradas en la aplicabilidad de las políticas públicas para el turismo a nivel regional; teniendo como objetivos específicos: a) elevar el perfil de los diferentes actores que conforman los espacios públicos que discuten el turismo; yb) investigar los mecanismos de participación de los actores en los procesos de toma de decisiones y sus roles en la cadena productiva turística. Los procedimientos metodológicos utilizados fueron la investigación bibliográfica, así como documental, de carácter exploratorio / descriptivo. La investigación adoptó un enfoque cualitativo utilizando entrevistas semiestructuradas como instrumentos de recolección de datos. Con esto se pudo concluir que la constitución de la instancia de gobernanza en turismo, ha estado posibilitando nuevas discusiones sobre la gestión y planificación del turismo en la región Seridó Potiguar, así como la aplicabilidad de las políticas públicas para el turismo en la mencionada región. . También se observó que existen dificultades que comprometen el incremento del turismo en la región, además, las acciones desarrolladas por la instancia de gobernanza de Polo Seridó siguen siendo puntuales, factor que interfiere en la dinámica socioespacial y en el desarrollo turístico. en la región. O principal objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar as principais ações realizadas e dificuldades encontradas na aplicabilidade das políticas públicas de turismo em âmbito regional; tendo como objetivos específicos: a) levantar o perfil dos diferentes atores que compõem as arenas públicas que discutem o turismo; e b) investigar os mecanismos de participação dos atores nos processos decisórios e seus papéis na cadeia produtiva do turismo. Os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados foram à pesquisa bibliográfica, bem como documental, tendo caráter exploratório/descritivo. A pesquisa adotou a abordagem qualitativa empregando como instrumentos de coleta de dados entrevistas semiestruturadas. Com isso foi possível concluir que a constituição da instância de governança em turismo, vem possibilitando novas discussões acerca da gestão e planejamento do turismo na região Seridó Potiguar, assim como, a aplicabilidade das políticas públicas de turismo na região supracitada. Observou-se ainda que existem dificuldades que comprometem o incremento do turismo na região, além disso, as ações desenvolvidas pela instância de governança do Polo Seridó ainda são pontuais, fator este que interfere na dinâmica socioespacial e no próprio desenvolvimento turístico da região.
