Thus, the objective of this article was to analyze the allelopathic potential of Kalanchoe laetivirens on seeds of Glycine max (L.). In order to perform the analysis of germination and growth, we used EaqKL in concentrations of 10% and 20%. Allelopathy is the result of the release of chemical compounds that acts harming or benefiting the development of other plants and organisms. Kalanchoe laetivirens demonstrated a positive allelopathic effect on soybean germination and it stimulated the root growth, however, there was inhibition of the hypocotyl. It is suggested that future studies analyze a more significant sample and use different concentrations and solvents to produce the extract of K. laetivirens to enable its use in cultivars in the future. In addition, it is recommended to develop phytochemical and pharmacological studies regarding the K. laetivirens.

Las plantas producen aleloquímicos con propiedades que pueden afectar a otras plantas de forma beneficiosa o nociva. A través de estudios con extractos naturales, es posible analizar las propiedades alelopáticas de las especies y su influencia en la germinación y el crecimiento de las plantas. Así, el objetivo del presente trabajo fue analizar el potencial alelopático de Kalanchoe laetivirens sobre semillas de Glycine max (L.). Para realizar el análisis de germinación y crecimiento se utilizó EaqKL a concentraciones de 10% y 20%. La alelopatía resulta de la liberación de compuestos químicos capaces de dañar o beneficiar el desarrollo de otras plantas y organismos. Kalanchoe laetivirens mostró un efecto alelopático positivo sobre la germinación de la soja, estimulando también el crecimiento de las raíces, sin embargo, hubo inhibición del crecimiento del hipocótilo. Se sugiere que estudios futuros puedan profundizar los hallazgos, analizando una muestra más significativa y utilizando el extracto de K. laetivirens en diferentes concentraciones y disolventes, pudiendo así, en el futuro, posibilitar su uso en cultivares. También se sugiere el desarrollo de más estudios fitoquímicos y farmacológicos sobre esta especie. Assim, o objetivo do presente trabalho foi analisar o potencial alelopático da Kalanchoe laetivirens sobre sementes de Glycine max (L.). Para realização da análise de germinação e crescimento, utilizou-se o EaqKL nas concentrações 10% e 20%. A alelopatia resulta da liberação de compostos químicos capazes de prejudicar ou beneficiar o desenvolvimento de outras plantas e organismo. A Kalanchoe laetivirens demostrou efeito alelopático positivo sobre a germinação da soja, estimulando também o crescimento radicular, entretanto, houve inibição do crescimento do hipocótilo. Sugere-se que futuros estudos possam aprofundar os achados, analisando uma amostra mais significativa e utilizando o extrato de K. laetivirens em diferentes concentrações e solventes, podendo assim, futuramente, viabilizar seu uso nas cultivares. Sugere-se, também, o desenvolvimento de mais estudos fitoquímicos e farmacológicos a respeito desta espécie.
