Resumo:Mappings are recurrent topics in Geomorphology, having its potentiality and specifications for understanding environmental dynamics. Therefore, the present study discussed the relief of the Mundaú-Manguaba Lagoon Estuarine Complex and its surroundings, using Geoprocessing and Photointerpretation techniques to measure the relief dissection and maping its units, using methodological guidelines of renowned studies in Brazil. Various dissection patterns were identified, however, 90% of the Complex has weak dissection. Two morpho structural units, 7 morpho-sculptural units and 21 morpho-sculptural subunits were sectorized, with origins related to denudational processes in interaction with tectonic movements and variations in the average sea level throughout the Quaternary. The methodology proved to be very promising, enabling the confection of thematic maps and databases, documents that can contribute to planning and decision-making.
