description This article proposes a reflection on the relationship of the artist, in particular, the doers of theatrical art, and its potentialities in the face of the denialist wave that has been spreading in Brazil and annihilating the identity of his nation. Therefore, at the same time, this work also discusses the value that memory, and history, have on the construction of the identity of an individual and, intrinsically, of a people. In this context, the artist-memory emerges, the result of an idea developed from the master's research in Performing Arts, deepening the thinking about the marks and transformations that art can produce in this current context. Having as theoretical reference the ideas of the sociologist Maurice Halbwachs, in a dialogue with the contemporary thoughts of Michael Pollak, in addition to the contributions of historian Pierre Nora, with regard, mainly, the concept of "man-memory", the artist-memory is the reaffirmation that it is necessary to look at the past, to memories, with the aim not only of understanding the present, but also to create, consciously, the future.

Este artículo propone una reflexión sobre la relación del artista, en particular, los hacedores del arte teatral, y sus potencialidades frente a la ola negacionista que se ha estado extendiendo en Brasil y aniquilando la identidad de su nación. Por lo tanto, al mismo tiempo, esta obra también analiza el valor que la memoria, y la historia, tienen en la construcción de la identidad de un individuo y, intrínsecamente, de un pueblo. En este contexto, surge la memoria del artista, fruto de una idea desarrollada a partir de la investigación del máster en Artes Escénicas, profundizando el pensamiento sobre las marcas y transformaciones que el arte puede producir en este contexto actual. Teniendo como referencia teórica las ideas del sociólogo Maurice Halbwachs, en un diálogo con los pensamientos contemporáneos de Michael Pollak, además de las contribuciones del historiador Pierre Nora, con respecto, principalmente, al concepto de "hombre-memoria", la memoria del artista es la reafirmación de que es necesario mirar el pasado, a la memoria, con el objetivo no sólo de entender el presente , pero también para crear, conscientemente, el futuro. Este presente artigo propõe uma reflexão sobre a relação do artista, em particular, os fazedores da arte teatral, e suas potencialidades frente à onda negacionista que vem se alastrando no Brasil e que aniquila a identidade de sua nação. Logo, paralelamente, este trabalho discorre também sobre o valor que a memória, e a história, possuem sobre a construção da identidade de um indivíduo e, intrinsecamente, de um povo. Neste contexto, surge o artista-memória, fruto de uma ideia desenvolvida a partir da pesquisa de mestrado em Artes Cênicas, aprofundando o pensamento sobre as marcas e transformações que a arte pode produzir neste contexto atual. Tendo como referencial teórico as ideias do sociólogo Maurice Halbwachs, num diálogo com os pensamentos contemporâneos de Michael Pollak, além das contribuições do historiador Pierre Nora, no que tange, principalmente, o conceito de “homem-memória”, o artista-memória é a reafirmação de que é preciso olhar para o passado, para as memórias, com o objetivo não só de entender o presente, mas bem como criar, conscientemente, o futuro.
