Este texto tem como objetivo discutir como a assinatura “Gustavo Barroso” torna-se autônoma por meio da análise do discurso narrativo de A ronda dos séculos (1933). Partindo dos estudos de Gérard Genette, mostra que a assinatura alude a um conjunto de estratégias discursivas, à religiosidade católica e ao antissemitismo. Conclui que a compreensão do intelectual Gustavo Barroso deve incluir o significado dessa assinatura, presente em todos os seus livros a partir da década de 1930. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Gustavo Barroso.
