| Resumo: | This article deals with the Human Library as a project to mitigate inequalities and violence in Brazil. In general, the objective is to propose the implementation of the Human Library project in Brazilian public libraries in order to make library users more empathetic and sensitive to the difficult situations experienced by the population. It is questioned whether the Human Library can be an active project in Brazilian public libraries. The study approach is qualitative, in which a basic, exploratory research - theoretical incursion is used as a methodology. As a result, the definition of criteria, steps and instruments necessary for the implementation of the Human Library project in Brazilian public libraries is presented. It is inferred that the Human Library is an innovative project that can expand social discussions within libraries, favoring the formation of a social body that is more sensitive to the experienced realities and that respects differences and is more conscious and critical. |
