Resumo: | Environmental education should direct efforts to promote social mobilization, supporting sustainability and minimizing impacts. Faced with this need, this study sought to raise the understanding of a community affected by energy expansion program on environmental education, sustainability and impact of social and government programs in this context. The research was exploratory, with qualitative method and technique of content analysis. The Primitive Word Counter software was used for processing the collected data. The study had the playing field the city of Itaipulândia / PR, where the Cultivating Good Water program (CAB) is synonymous with the institutional design presented by the Hydroelectric Binational Itaipu, constituting the Environmental Education Program as central CAB axis. The result points to a knowledge of "common sense" on the issues surrounding environmental awareness. As a result it can be concluded that for larger and broader awareness to community behavior change is necessary. |
