The exponential technological development perceived over the last decades has accelerated the democratization of the market in several segments, allowing easier launch of innovative products and services and easier access to the potential consumer market. This facilitation, in turn, culminated in the continuous development of new business models increasingly focused on generating differentiated value for the customer, and increasing the demands of the sectors directly and indirectly involved. A positive side effect observed, resulting from the high exposure of customers to these businesses, is an increase in the potential of adherence to innovations generated in the other services sectors with which customers relate. Thus, the present study seeks to evaluate how the these new players can have na impact on the segment of banking products, focusing on the universe of credit cards.   O exponencial desenvolvimento tecnológico vivido ao longo das últimas décadas tem acelerado a democratização do mercado em diversos segmentos, permitindo maior facilidade no lançamento de produtos e serviços inovadores e acesso facilitado ao potencial mercado consumidor. Essa movimentação, por sua vez, culminou no contínuo desenvolvimento de novos modelos de negócio cada vez mais centrados na geração de valor diferenciado para o cliente, e aumentando as exigências dos setores envolvidos direta e indiretamente. Um efeito colateral positivo observado, proveniente da alta exposição dos clientes a esses negócios, é um aumento no potencial de adesão a inovações geradas nos demais setores de serviços com os quais os clientes se relacionam. Dessa forma, o presente estudo busca avaliar a forma como se dá o impacto desses novos players de mercado no segmento de produtos bancários, com enfoque no universo de cartões de crédito.
