Recognizing that traditionally the themes of the body are approached in a hygienist, deterministic and biomedical way, we worked in Science classes, a didactic proposal that would allow the construction of other senses about menstruation. The characterization of these senses constructed by the student at the beginning, and ate the end of the proposal demonstrate the importance of problematizing machism, concepts of gender identity, the articulation between capitalism and body control for the political formation of the student and changing the views on menstruation. O trabalho teve por objetivo refletir sobre os desafios e possibilidades para a abordagem da menstruação no ensino de biologia em uma perspectiva de justiça social e discussão de relações de poder, por meio da caracterização dos sentidos mobilizados por estudantes da oitava série de uma escola de Bogotá, Colômbia, no começo e final de uma proposta didática. Reconhecendo que tradicionalmente as temáticas do corpo são abordadas de maneira higienista, determinista e biomédica, trabalhamos em aulas de ciências, com uma proposta didática que permitisse a construção de outros sentidos sobre a menstruação.
