Resumo:ABSTRACT   Thinking about the accessibility and inclusion of deaf people in the facilities of the Institudo Federal do Pará - Campus Santarém, we sought to develop an Extension Project for the teaching of Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS) in the facilities of the institute from 2018 to 2019, whose target audience were IFPA servants and students, in addition to places offered to students and teachers outside the institution. The work aimed to contribute to the teaching and learning of Brazilian Sign Language, as well as its grammatical structure and functionality in society. The project was developed following an execution schedule. Initially, we raised the number of people interested, then the availability of days and free time so that we could organize the schedule of the meetings, according to the availability of the institute and people interested. The result was satisfactory due to the number of participants, making it necessary to repeat the project in the years to come.   KEY WORDS: LIBRAS, EDUCATION, DEAF PEOPLE, LIBRAS TRAINING
