The companies were selected based on the ABC Guide / Santo André (2013). The research adopted a quantitative method, the type survey, and adopted the questionnaire Ethos Institute for Corporate Social Responsibility, revised in 2012, in partnership with the Brazilian Service of Support for Micro and Small Enterprises (Sebrae), for the internal practices of social responsibility, based on the indicators of business management. Of the 91 companies identified, 14 said they were fully focused on the CSR, agreeing to participate.
