Data were collected from a sample of seven (7) oncology physicians representing 10% of the group studied. We made ??five (5) questions about the issues at stake, in which even exposed their responses in ways that testimonies were collected and later transcribed. We conclude that the physician-patient relationship, to diagnose the disease, occurs in a way that doctors most often, put yourself in a fair position, having to have a specific position in that their working relationships as takes into account not only the principles of medical ethics, but also respect and common sense to the patient. Este consiste em uma pesquisa de caráter qualitativa, exploratória e descritiva, que tem como objetivo geral evidenciar quais aspectos éticos que regem os médicos do Hospital Napoleão Laureano, ao noticiarem o diagnostico de câncer ao paciente. Os dados foram coletados a partir da amostra de 7 (sete) médicos  oncológicos, que representam 10% do universo pesquisado. Foram feitas 5 (cinco) perguntas sobre a problemática abordada, em que os mesmo expunham suas respostas em formas de depoimentos que foram coletados e posteriormente transcritos. Conclui-se que a relação médico-paciente, ao se diagnosticar a doença, acontece de uma maneira em que o médico na maioria das vezes, se coloca em uma postura imparcial, tendo que ter um posicionamento que específico em suas relações de trabalho, pois leva em consideração não só os princípios da Ética Médica, mas também o respeito e bom senso para com o paciente.
