| Resumo: | The objective of the present study was to analyze the execution of the pharmaceutical assistance cycle, facing serious cases of COVID-19, in a reference hospital in the city of Fortaleza. Data were collected on the IntegraSUS website, the bed occupancy rate was analyzed; number of hospitalized patients according to sex and age group. Pharmaceutical Assistance and hydroxychloroquine / chloroquine / azithromycin were included in the study to search databases. On June 4, 2020, Leonardo da Vinci hospital had 163 beds occupied, recording a 93.14% occupancy rate, 126 deaths and 178 discharges. Most inmates are men (64.63%), while women (35.37%). Regarding the age group, the highest hospitalization rate is identified for individuals between 40 and 74 years old or more, men aged 50 to 54 years have the highest number of hospitalizations (twenty-four) in relation to males and in relation to general, while women aged 80 and over are the ones with the highest number of hospitalizations in relation to females. The criteria of efficacy and safety are the basis for the selection of items that will compose the subset of medicines in the hospital, going through stages of the pharmaceutical assistance cycle. It is concluded that the adequacy and guidance of the pharmaceutical assistance actions in the midst of the declared pandemic of COVID-19 becomes effective for understanding the procedures to be carried out in the midst of such a complex situation. |
