An achievement within the scope of afro reparation policies is the law 12.990/2014, June 9th, 2014, which reserves 20% of the vacancies in a public competition for black candidates. Therefore, this article aims to investigate the enforcement of this law in the edicts for teaching at the Federal University of Pampa, as well as its pursuit and the teaching admission by racial quotas. In order to accomplish that, through the ethnography methodology of documents, it analyzes 74 admission edicts, from the period of 2014 to 2018, for teaching in higher education at the institution. The context of these analyzes confirms that the institution meets the law in each of its edicts. However, it reveals that racial quota reservations are not being sought in proportion to their offer and that the candidates do not advance in the stages of the civil service examination. Through that, we realized the need to emphasize the importance of racial quotas, once this study results show the scarce demand for these vacancies and the low percentage of approval. Un logro en el ámbito de las políticas afro-reparadoras es la Ley 12.990 / 2014, de 9 de junio de 2014, que reserva el 20% de las vacantes en un concurso público para candidatos negros. Así, el presente artículo tiene como objetivo investigar la aplicación de esta ley en los edictos para la docencia de la Universidad Federal de la Pampa, así como su búsqueda y admisión docente vía cuotas raciales. Por lo tanto, utilizando la metodología de etnografía documental, analiza 74 avisos de admisión, de 2014 a 2018, para la docencia superior en la institución. El contexto de estos análisis confirma que la institución cumple con la ley en cada uno de sus edictos. Sin embargo, revela que no se buscan reservas de cuotas raciales en proporción a su oferta y que los candidatos no avanzan en las etapas de los concursos públicos. Con eso, nos dimos cuenta de la necesidad de enfatizar la importancia de las cuotas raciales, ya que los resultados de este estudio evidencian la escasa demanda de estas vacantes y el bajo porcentaje de aprobación. Uma conquista no âmbito das políticas afro-reparatórias é a Lei 12.990/2014, de 09 de junho de 2014, que reserva 20% das vagas em concurso público para candidatas(os) negras(os). Desse modo, o presente artigo tem como objetivo investigar a aplicação dessa lei nos editais para docência na Universidade Federal do Pampa, bem como sua procura e o ingresso docente via cotas raciais. Para tanto, utilizando a metodologia da etnografia de documentos, analisa 74 editais de ingresso, do período de 2014 a 2018, para docência superior na instituição. O contexto dessas análises confirma que a instituição atende a Lei em cada um de seus editais. No entanto, revela que as reservas de cotas raciais não estão sendo procuradas na proporção de sua oferta e que as(os) candidatas(os) não avançam nas etapas dos concursos. Com isso, percebemos a necessidade de ressaltar a importância das cotas raciais, já que os resultados deste estudo evidenciam a escassa procura por essas vagas e o baixo percentual de aprovação.
