Resumo: | The objective of this study was to carry out a succinct analysis of the sexual division of labor, motivated by the empirical observation that there is a great disparity between the sexes in the labor market, both in terms of job allocation and in the valuation of each one's service. Using the literature review on the topic, reinforced by the descriptive analysis of comparative data, it was possible to conclude that the Brazilian labor market is subject to occupational segregation by gender, being permeated by discrimination and devaluation of female work, allocating, in large part scale, women in precarious occupations |
