Given that concern for the environment has been increasing in recent years, generating a public more informed and demanding consumers regarding the environmental practices by firms, it is clear the need to innovate in applying these Clean Technologies, with in order to remain on the market. In this quest for cleaner and sustainable mechanisms emerges Industrial Ecology targeting the sustainable use of natural resources. This article seeks to present challenges to obtaining an Industrial Ecology, which will be presented by the Industrial Symbiosis which in turn is inserted into a process of Eco Industrial Parks. Objectify also make a connection between the idea of ??industrial districts proposed by Marshall with new global trends of production represented by Eco Industrial Parks, the prospect of deploying these in Brazil. For this literature searches were performed and documented as well as interpretations of the theme. We realize, in this study, the importance of innovation in relation to production processes as a way of maintaining market companies, as well as improving the quality of life of the population, thus ensuring the supply of the needs of future generations. Tendo em vista que a preocupação com o meio ambiente vem se acentuando nos últimos anos, gerando um público consumidor mais informado e exigente no que tange as práticas ambientalistas por parte das empresas, é notório a necessidade destas inovarem quanto à aplicação de Tecnologias Limpas, com o objetivo de se manter no mercado. Nesta busca por mecanismos mais limpos e sustentáveis emerge a Ecologia Industrial objetivando o uso sustentável dos recursos naturais. O presente artigo busca apresentar os desafios para a obtenção de uma Ecologia Industrial, que será apresentada através de da Simbiose Industrial que por sua vez, é um processo inserido dentro dos Parques Eco Industriais. Objetivará também fazer uma ligação entre a idéia de distritos industriais proposta por Marshall com as novas tendências mundiais de produção representadas pelos Parques Eco Industriais, na perspectiva de implantação destes no Brasil. Para isto foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográficas e documentais bem como interpretações acerca do tema proposto. Percebemos, no presente estudo, a importância da inovação no que concerne aos processos produtivos como uma forma de manutenção das empresas no mercado, bem como da melhoria na qualidade de vida da população, garantindo desta forma o suprimento das necessidades das futuras gerações.
