Works by Brollo & Troiano (2012) and Grossi & Miguel (2001); point out the performance of women as managers, especially in the area of public health, which makes us question: The Brazilian municipal managers managed, in their strategies, to reduce the number of contagion and death? In this sense, we seek to introduce a discussion about women in public positions (CARVALHO & YASUDA, 2017, DAHLERUP&FREINDEVALL, 2010; PRÁ, 2013; VIOTTI, 1995) and, from that (1) Map the northeastern panorama, highlighting where there is incidence of cases in mayors' management; (2) Identify states with greater predominance in the number of cases with deaths in municipalities managed by women (3) Highlight the municipality where the highest incidence of Covid-19 occurs. This is an exploratory and quantitative survey, whose methodologies for production were: data from Covid-19 taken from the daily bulletins of the Ministry of Health, confirmed cases and deaths in northeastern municipalities until May 17, evaluating two months after the first death. With the tabulation and crossing of data, we can see that the incidence of cases and deaths in the proposed cutout are relatively low. The research is justified to understand phenomena that are particular and that generate social impacts, as well as to defend the inclusion of more women in leading positions in politics.
