The rules of the game are presented in order to introduce readers to its mechanics. We discuss how these rules represent different theoretical perspectives in sociology regarding the debate between agency and structure, among other elements, such as crises and insurgencies, aiming at showing how the game may or may not represent social reality (as it is seen from the point of view of several relevant theoretical frameworks). Finally, we present a report on the application of the game as a pedagogical tool in three 9th year classes in Colégio de Aplicação da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (CA-UFSC), in Florianópolis (SC), in 2018. We observe that, despite difficulties related to the time allotted to the game, it brought good results, considering it was possible to involve students in the conceptual discussions it brings forth, and to work with them in a qualified manner. Neste artigo, apresentamos e discutimos uma ferramenta projetada para auxiliar educadores com o ensino de sociologia, em especial da ideia de imaginação sociológica: o jogo de cartas Agência. As regras do jogo são apresentadas com vistas a situar leitores quanto ao seu funcionamento. Discutimos de que maneira estas regras representam diferentes perspectivas teóricas da sociologia acerca do debate entre agência e estrutura, entre outros elementos, como crises e revoltas, com vistas a demonstrar de que forma o jogo pode ou não representar a realidade social (como esta é vista a partir de vários enquadramentos teóricos relevantes). Por fim, apresentamos um relato da utilização do jogo em três turmas do nono ano do ensino fundamental do Colégio de Aplicação da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (CA-UFSC), na cidade de Florianópolis (SC), em 2018. Observamos que, apesar das dificuldades relacionadas ao tempo alocado para o jogo, este trouxe bons resultados, considerando o quanto foi possível envolver alunos e alunas nas discussões conceituais e trabalhá-las de maneira qualificada.
