Resumo: | At this time, when the world is dealing with the Coronavírus pandemic, information can literally save lives. Both the government and the press have been broadcasting information about the pandemic at all times; however, about 180 thousand people living in the state of Bahia/Brazil may be without proper access to the official guidelines from the Health Ministry and the World Health Organization. We are talking about deaf people who use the Brazilian Sign Language as their first language and, because of that, do not have access to the main information from official government sources. This paper aims to register the experience of the Lighthouse Project (Projeto Farol), from the Federal University of Recôncavo of Bahia in the production of accessible sign language material with visual aids for this group. |
