Resumo:In view of the chaotic situation caused by the pandemic of COVID-19, there is a proliferation of fake information, making necessary to use effective strategies to spread trustworthy knowledge to the population. This experience account, the result of a directed work project, describes the experience of the scientific population through social networks, as a strategy to support the fight against COVID-19. An informative video was produced for food-producing establishments, later shared on the most popular social networks among Brazilians: Facebook and Instagram. There was a large number of views of our material published in the institutional channels. Therefore, there was a good dissemination of content and the effectiveness of social networks in scientific, dissemination processes during this pandemic, was verified.
