Resumo:This article presents an account of the curatorship experience carried out in the FIC – “Mulheres Mil” Modality 2017.2 course offered by the Lajes IFRN Advanced Campus, the theme of which was the environment, focusing on recycling. The objective of this study was to mediate the reading of the short story “O Amor”, by the author Clarice Lispector,  with the women participating in the course, bringing a moment of reading, interpretation and reflection of the text, contributing to the formation of readers. The study was based on Vygotsky's (1996) assumptions about mediation and learning, in addition to the assumptions of Socio-discursive Interactionism about the role of language in human development throughout life. The study results indicate a possible awareness of the importance of reading by both student curators and students in the course.
